How a Bitcoin deposit works

- Send from your wallet
Use the Bitcoin network only. ETH, USDT or Litecoin to that invoice is gone.
- Wait for the credit
The cashier credits after confirmations. Congestion adds time, not a bank holiday.
How Bitcoin works at the cashier
The cashier gives a BTC address or QR. You send Bitcoin on the Bitcoin network. Copy the address once, send a test if the amount is large, then wait for confirmations. It is not a bank login and not a card.
Deposit vs cash-out
- Deposit. After the network confirms, the cashier credits BTC or a CAD equivalent. Mempool congestion adds time, not a bank holiday.
- Withdrawal. Only if the payout tab lists BTC. After KYC this is often hours, faster than Interac to a bank.
- Fees. You pay miners. For a small send, Litecoin is usually cheaper. Ethereum is a different network — never send it to a BTC invoice.
BTC is not BCH
Bitcoin Cash is a separate coin. If the cashier wants BCH it will say so. A BTC send to a BCH address is gone.
