Debit as a class
A debit PAN is tied to an account balance. Authorization is spend you already have, plus issuer gambling rules. Credit on Visa casinos can post as a purchase or a cash advance. Prepaid on Prepaid Visa fails AVS and 3-DS for different reasons.
Issuer blocks
Big Five debit products still decline casino MCCs without warning. That is a bank policy, not a broken cashier. Interac e-Transfer from the same chequing account often still works when the debit PAN does not.
Bonuses
Debit is usually bonus-eligible where cards are allowed. Prepaid and vouchers are the ones to check twice. Amex exclusions do not automatically apply to debit.
Payouts

Is Interac Flash the same as e-Transfer?
No. Flash is a card PAN at a terminal or online. e-Transfer is an email/mobile payment from online banking.
